Not enough of a return for a decent LH reliever who has two more years of control. RH should have held out for Gillaspie + another player too.

The + being a fringe prospect like Johnny Field. That return would have brought Hunnie back to the boards.

18-year old Fernando Tatis, Jr. now at #58 on the MLB.com Top 100 Prospects list - ahead of Reynoldo Lopez, Lucas Giolito and Dylan Cease. Whoever recommended the James Shields trade needs to leave the White Sox organ-I-zation ASAP.

it only makes sense if they decided they didn't want him on the 2018 team and they planned to non-tender him after this season.

We get RHP A.J. Puckett & LHP Andre Davis, paying half of the rest of Melky's salary. Puckett was KC's 2nd rounder last year.

MLB.com had Puckett ranked the Royals #13 top prospect. They now have him as the White Sox #25 top prospect.

LHP Andre Davis was #22 on the Royals prospect list. He now doesn't crack the top 30 White Sox list.
