If the Dodgers want to get rid of him that badly why would we want him? The Sox have enough issues as it is. Is he worth the headaches?

Does he have a son he insists on coming to work every day?

Does he have an aversion to certain types of uniforms? Does he have access to sharp objects?

Does he have a propensity to deride certain reporters by using un-PC slurs?

Does he openly complain about Asian players getting preferential treatment?

Will he cause a stink when he's deemed to have "diminished skills?"

Is he a clubhouse cancer who reportedly punched a trainer in the groin?

Ahh, what else have we seen....?

I thought at one time I read that Abreu would not want to play with him, but I would hope they would discuss with him before doing anything.

While no one wants to tear down a potential contender, this is a great market to be shopping premium talent, given the lack of quality free agents and the shortage of sellers with desirable players to move. Without alternatives to compete against, sellers with elite players to move could ask for absurd returns, and might actually get them from desperate buyers who are focused solely on the short-term upgrade. And that set of circumstances puts the White Sox in a particularly great position to make sure the Hot Stove Season runs through the south side of Chicago.

The offseason is upon us. Free agency officially begins tomorrow, as the five day exclusive window ends, and teams and agents are free to begin officially negotiating with anyone they choose.

The list of MLB TradeRumors.com's Top 50 Free-Agents are up and their prediction on which teams will sign them.

For the White Sox they're guessing catcher Jason Castro, LH reliever Boone Logan and Carlos Beltran to sign as the 2017 White Sox DH:

Where will top free agents like Cespedes, Encarnacion, and Chapman sign? And for how much money? MLBTR makes predictions!

Twitter source:
#WhiteSox and #Dodgers potentially discussing mega-deal involving Chris Sale, Todd Frazier

So who can put together the better (realistic) package for Chris Sale? Dodgers or Red Sox? I think the Cubs could but won't give up what's necessary (and no, not talking about Bryant).

From what I've read it just seems like, though several teams may have interest and good prospects, the Dodgers and Red Sox have the best to offer.

Red Sox.

Andrew B they will trade. There is no way dodgers trade us Seager so this would be built around Bellinger and Urias.

That is my hope as well. I really want Benintendi and Devers as part of the package. Kopech and his 100+ mph fastball would be sweet too. Just have to hope Dombrowski will pull the trigger.

We were expecting Bradley from Red Sox, so I would expect Puig would be part of deal with Dodgers as well.

Is this enough? Might need to add one more player from the Dodgers:

The White Sox are willing to listen to offers for just about all of their players, and industry sources regard them and the Dodgers as perfect trading partners, according to Yahoo Sports’ Jeff Passan (Twitter links). Ace Chris Sale, third baseman Todd Frazier and closer David Robertson are among the players Chicago could move, and all of them fit the Dodgers’ needs, notes Passan. Meanwhile, the White Sox like several Dodgers – outfielder Yasiel Puig and prospects Cody Bellinger, Alex Verdugo, Jose DeLeon and Willie Calhoun – so it seems the two sides could line up for some sort of deal this offseason.

Frazier for Puig, they need a 3bman. Puig is a cancer but he's got talent. ideal scenario he shows up does well and we trade him off in a year.

There is also the chance that he ruins the team chemistry and we end up with the 1st over all pick... so win win.

I am with Blackie, why take a guy on like Puig. I do not care how talented he is, if he was a decent guy I would think Abreu might be mentioning picking him up, I never hear that. I do not think anyone likes the guy.
