Kopech is not a closer.  I'm not even sure he is a major league pitcher

Since the trade - 14.1 IP, 20Ks 4BB, 1ER. and  3 of 3 in saves. Best reliever in baseball. The dodgers changed how he lands on his front foot... simple little tweak and hes a great player.

I was just kidding before the season when I mentioned we may break the all time worst record in MLB. Yikes

One glimmer of hope in this season of shyte

AA Birmingham won the championship series 2 games to 0 against Montgomery (I think). A lot of good young arms on this team. Kannapolis also got into their championship series but lost 2 games to 1.

I pretty much stopped paying attention to all things White Sox some time in late April (because of their incredible sulkiness and sucky manager and sucky new TV play by play guy and sucky owner and sucky GM).  Is there actual hope down on the farm?

I think they have arms on the farm, but not much for bats. Glad I have never heard their play by play guy

Will this be a third straight 100+ loss season?

Hope springs eternal!

2-2 and 4 decent outings from the pitching staff. It's a tiny improvement if only for 4 games.

And they have already won 5% as many games as they did all of last year!

But very pleased with the pitching, esp the three young guys.

Agree, young pitching appears to be decent.

But that hitting...

Before the season started a friend of mine and fellow Sox fan quipped that "at least they can't be worse than last year" to which I responded "sure they can, they could lose 122 games".

Looks like I could be right.

I understand that per the Collective Bargaining Agreement they can't draft below 10 this year despite being the worst team in the history of baseball.  But does that mean that if they continue to suck for multiple years they can only draft below 10 every other year?

Still at least pleased with our pitching. Hitting has gotten better but still underwhelming.

In the minors we have some better hitting doing quite well. Braden Montgomery whom we got in Crochet trade looks like the real deal.

I know I shouldn't let losses bother me since 1) they're gonna lose allot and 2) they'll get a better draft choice but its really irksome when they lose games 4-3 and 2-1.

Pitching still doing pretty good, long way to go with the hitting but we seem to be in a lot more games this year.

I am enjoying the post All Star break Sox better than the pre-.  Although winning the last game against the Cubs would have made me happier

Pitching staff starting to fall apart lately, especially the pen.

Yes, they have struggled some.  It's a long season and suspect they are getting tired

I know they still mostly suck against good teams but am enjoying that they are beating up on the Twins
