Not really. He didn't play even half of the season because of a severe injury. Who knows what he would have hit if he had played an entire season? It s like saying Engel had a bad year. He hardly played due to injury. It isn't like these two guys were just nicked up so to speak. they were knocked off of the field entirely for a long period of time. I have a problem with calling guys having a bad season because of major injuries. Look at Mike Trout, did he have a bad season?

Trout hit .333 with a .466 OBP. When he played he was damned good. Can't say that about Eloy.

Huge difference. Trout was healthy to start the season. Then got hurt. Eloy came back from a bad injury mid season. Not easy. Plus, Trout is an all time great. HOFer

Eloy also started out hotter than hell, so he cooled off considerably to end up where he did. He is gonna be ok, not worried about him.

I appreciate Lance Lynn's bullheaded competitiveness but throwing 74 fastballs out of 76 total pitches to the best fastball hitting team in the MLB was foolish.

Nah. He just was missing his spots and lost his control. He was off and the other guy was on. they hit our guy and we couldn't hit their guy. that's baseball. tomorrows another day:)

It's hard to believe Keuchel was 6-2 1.99 era last year.

you don't go from 1.99 era to 5.28 era without something drastic happening.

That's what I was wondering but his game log suggests he pretty much sucked all season. His best month was June, which I think was when the sticky stuff ban was enforced
