This crappy team could be buried by May 1st. This rebuild was a massive failure.

If they can't be good, might as well crash and burn... at least there is some entertainment value in that.  Mediocre is boring and frustrating.

When this 10 game Rays-Jays-Rays set started I thought "Geez, they could go 0 -10 in this stretch"

Starting to think I might have been right.

Hard to win when you have 6 starters hitting below .226, including 3 less than .200, and starting pitchers that can't keep the other guys off the board.

Joseph is correct unfortunately. We need new ownership and redo the entire front office and staff

This organization is a complete embarrassment. We're supposed to be in our "world series" window of contention and instead they're more likely to be one of the top 5 worst teams in baseball. The core is just not good and there's no help in the minors. There will be a firesale soon but it's not like any trades that are made will be actually bring back anyone of value. I don't know what we did to deserve this fate in the baseball world but it's really not fair.

Never would have guessed that out of all my teams, Illini football would be the best of the bunch.  At least the Bears have some promise (maybe)... but the Sox and Blackhawks are deep in the shitter.

If the Sox' free fall continues, it will be interesting to see if Jerry and Kenny do anything.  (Who am I kidding; they won't.)

I know they still suck but must admit I was rather surprised when I turned the radio off in the ninth with the Sox down 9-5 and later saw that they had won.  Don't remember the last time a Sox team scored 7 runs in the ninth inning

I know they still suck, but three in a row, that's a "winning streak".  And I was surprised when I checked in on Tuesday night, saw they were going into extra innings and then later that they had won.  The Sox never win in extra innings.

The still suck.  Load the bases with one out in extras and can't get a run in?  No killer instinct.  Peralta and Colome not the answer; their playing shows how thin the farms are.

The real problem with this team is that they have been so bad, no one has any value.
Benintendi might be the best trade nugget we have...

We need rain up here. I suppose when go to Canada in 6 weeks it is going to be hot up there like last year. We have called around to some folks in Thunder Bay and supposedly the lumber road is in good shape and no fire problems like out East or out West. But if hot, fishing can be tougher, walleyes go deeper. Also, if real dry there will be a fire ban. No camp fire means once dusk hits run for the tents, because the mosquitos will be worse even though we are on an island.

MSF, was in Canada the last week of May, my first trip back since May 2019.  It was dry then as well but not too hot.  Fishing was great, lots of Lakers (they were still on top as the ice was just off and water still cold) and Walleyes, as well as the usual collection of small mouths and northern.  I go to the Kenora area where I have the good fortune to have a buddy I've known since first grade who owns a cabin there, so plenty of respite when the bugs come out and a propane fueled fridge to keep the beer cold.  Other than that it's pretty spartan; no TV, no cell phones, etc.. His grandfather built the original family cabin in 1951 so he's been going since he was a kid in the late 50's and I started to join him annually in 1974.  He bought his own place in the late 80's; it's on about a one-acre island that is a couple 100 yards off shore which help keep the bugs down some.  There's a huge white pine with a bald eagle nest on his island that has had eagles in residence since he bought it.

All in all pretty cool and relaxing even when the fishing is off, although by about day five I'm ready for a return to civilization

Pretty sure that's the most important thing!
