This team is toast. 4 runs in three games against the O's? Way too many injuries to overcome. Half the team seems to be on the IL and the half that isn't is playing day to day. Abreu, Anderson and Robert all need extended time off. The bullpen is a shambles (not that it matters if you're only scoring one run a game).

Every time I think they are ready to go on a run they suck it up against $hitty teams.

Not our year.

And I am officially in the FTN (Fire Tony Now) camp. I know his options are limited but batting a rookie in his third major league game who has yet to get a major league hit at lead off. Really?

The sad truth is that TLR isn't getting fired. Maybe they can talk him into walking away this off-season and still pay him; best case scenario.

On the other hand, watching the Sox burn whilst Reinsdorf fiddles can be somewhat entertaining...

Watching them fiddle is right.

I do not understand what the White Sox have against good defense. In deferring to offensive stats it always ends up that the road runner eludes their grasp. Probably he ends up cuddling up with a hot glove somewhere.

I think this weekend is critical. They continue their recent success and take 2 of 3 or better yet sweep the Guardians and I will get back on the bandwagon. They lose two of three and I will be looking forward to next year.

since Lynn came off the IL his velocity has been down, last yr was 93-96 mostly, this yr 90-93 with a resultant loss of life/movement.

Against Cleveland it was the same, but as the game progressed the velocity ticked up.

Lynn is the biggest ? on the staff now.

Finally a little help from the Twins. Cleveland has really had their number lately, although many of the games have been close late.

Kopech to IL and now Queto feeling under the weather. Sox pitching starting to slip when most needed.

I found it very fitting that the White Sox, who played a little below and a little above .500 all season, finished at exactly .500. Sums up their year very nicely.
