I dunno - I was 5’9” 185 at his age. About 75% legs.
Now at age 37 I am 5’9” 165.
You, sir, are a smart man. Most men outside of the sports field, gain weight as they age. For many, they put on much too much weight. But, in baseball, enormous effort is made for pretty much all positions to build muscle mass for young athlete, some legally, some not legally. the long ball rules the game now and the 100 mph fastball is the target of young pitchers coming up. I think that the Rays made a mistake on a guy who is already pretty thick for his height. He isn't going to get taller so my guess is that he is going to end up at 3rd base and get heavier. With more weight and muscle comes less speed and quickness.
Hell, what do I know? He might end up being another Harmon Killebrew:)
