No chance of a repeat of an "all Garcia outfield" this year as Willy Garcia was released.  This move also opens up a spot on the 40-man roster.

Does Ryan Cordell have a real shot of making the team now?

Jordan Stephens pitched well, if they move him to the pen & he stays healthy I think he'll be a valuable asset. In today's game starters tend to be the big horses, the "smaller" guys like Stephens pick up some velocity working only as relievers.

Why has Leury Garcia been playing so much at ss and not in center? I want him to start in center - if not him then Cordell.

I loved Quintana but Eloy looks like a future superstar. I can't remember ever being more excited about a White Sox prospect of this caliber. If both he and Robert hit their potential, look out!!

I was at Camelback this past weekend. I've now seen Eloy in three games counting last year at a Winston Salem game, and he homered in all three games. It was particularly sweet against the Cubs at Sloan Park with a loud and boisterous crowd that suddenly groaned. ;D

Some news on Giolito

https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/lets-watch-lucas-giolito-look-very-good/

When we traded for him, my real big concern was that the FB was not back, if he has resolved that issue over this offseason and is really back to 95 (hope hes back to the 95-97 range as season goes on), that could really help turn this rebuild around faster then expected.

Giolito, Kopech and Cease have all looked really good so far, and we haven't even been treated to the guy i thought would be the best Hansen.

And then there's Carson Fulmer. Yuck.

the thought of Fulmer making the team is just insane.

I hope both Fry & Bummer start at AAA, the 2nd lefty in the pen should be Ross.

Fulmer needs to go to the BP already... he can make it there and probably excel.

most important thing for a BP guy is control, something Fulmer doesn't have.

i think he can command 2 pitches well... i think his real problem is getting through the order more then once...

well, this spring he hasn't been able to get thru the order once.

he was horrific at AAA last year, it wasn't a fluke. If you think he should be moved to the pen try it at AAA.

I do, and if i was incharge he'd been there a year ago. I hope the sox move him to the BP now.

Honestly, I do not think he is a big league pitcher, at either starter or pen.

I think he will eventually figure it out. He has a big league arm, but he has bad mechanics. I'd send him down and give him a couple of months as a starter, and if he still sucks, then move him to reliever.
