word I hear from Arizona is Giolito doesn't throw hard - 90-92. No where near advertised.

You'd think that would be verified / cross-checked via scouting.    Dead arm, maybe?

It was pretty well known before the trade...

The word was that he had mechanical issues that we could fix... the reality is that he was overthrowing before TJ and has never regained the velocity he had before TJ.

Kopech = BP arm; Giolitto = bust. Lopez = BP arm.

Basabe and moncada are our hopes from those 2 trades... and i dont think moncada will deal with major league breaking pitches on a regular basis.

We went for high cieling athetic players like we always do. When will we learn to go after ball players instead?

If boston didnt want to give up andrew benitiendi... they shouldnt have gotten chris sale.

For the love of God, stick Danny Hayes in the OF and release Avisail Garcia already....

Not sure I'm wrong. Avi had a BABIP-generated career year. Even other Execs know that, which is why no one is offering anything for him.

On the other hand, when healthy, Hayes has been a .380 OBP, .840 OPS guy. Consistently.

I'll be happy to be proven wrong about Avi, I just don't think I am...

Uh oh:

Micker Adolfo strained elbow ligaments, sidelined indefinitely. Undergoing MRI to determine extent of tear.

Ugly, ugly game.  I ended up turning it off as the 10th Dodger run crossed the plate in the 4th.  I turned it back on in the 9th to get a screen grab of the final to post here.  One positive of this game was Charlie Tilson getting some playing time and getting a hit.  Hopefully he didn't hurt himself.  ;D

If spring training results mattered, Jordan Danks would be in the Hall of Fame.
