Couple tidbits about the Method household/summer.

We're moving to New Jersey from Florida in July... Mrs. Method got a really big promotion (beyound something we thought possible) but it requires us to leave paradise.

We're planning a trip to Chicago the last weekend of June. Tentatively i'll be at the Sox game on 6/27. I do hope to meet some of you in person finally if you can make it to the game. Our plans are 70/30 right now. Just wanted to put it on ya'lls calender now.

If her job requires us to relocate sooner, we'd likely skip that Chicago trip.

Final plan's have shifted us to first weekend of June. We'll be in town from the 4-7th. Working on buying tickets for the Sox game Friday night in the  Goose Island area. We'll likely get there a bit early to tail gate as well.

If any of you can make it, would love to cya guys there!

We are all set on our tickets.

We'll be in the Goose Island Section Row 09 Seats 1-6.

We're also planning to tailgate with some local friends before the game, will let you know what lot!

Hope to see a couple of you there if you can make it. I reached out to Camelo on FB he's going to try and move some things in his schedule and attend.

Loveland, We're going to be in Denver a bit later in the year, end of September, I'll let you know as it gets closer!

This is a "Soundstage" from 11/11/74, produced at WTTW in Chicago. It was called "Arlo and Friends." The friends of Arlo Guthrie were Steve Goodman and Hoyt Axton.

A couple of months ago I "cut the cord" and dropped cable (Xfinity).  I kept high speed internet and bought an Android box and a couple of Amazon 4K Firesticks. Loaded them with plenty of free apps that give me thousands of live TV channels worldwide and plenty of VOD movies and TV shows. My monthly cost went from $244 down to $73.  Anybody else going the same?  What did you switch to and what IPTV services are you currently using?

No I have not but I am also dropping about $250 a month for xfinity.  Guess I'll have to research what an "android box" and "Amazon 4k Firesticks" are.

Does your change allow you to avoid commercials for idiotic shows like "Marriage Boot Camp" and "Love after Lockup"?

Of course, I wouldn't have to see those commercials if I wasn't addicted to the original "Law and Order", which is on the same channel.  Have probably seen all those episodes at least 6 times but can't help myself.

Couple weeks ago they ran one where Lenny Bristow puts his foot on a bad guy they had just run down and last week Rey Curtis kind of lost control and put an alleged cop killer in a choke hold and I thought "Whoops!  You guys should probably quit showing those episodes!" :o

Guess I wasn't the only "cord cutter" that affected Comcast's bottom-line. Sorry to hear they let Leila Rahimi go.  She was the best host on the station.  Should have cut Dave Kaplan and his huge salary and kept Leila.
