Jeter, have you been there on Wed?  "Specials include bangers & mash Wednesdays,"  sounds tasty to me

I haven't been! Co-worker raves about the meat pies and even the salad! I'm also intrigued by the roast special they do on Sunday!

Bangers and mash is one meal I can do without. Its the former I have a problem with, altho I am not a big mashed potato fan either.

Here's an article about the new movie, "Bernie."   I think I need to see this one.

Interesting read; thanks.

If its a Linklater movie, chances are it will be good.

Chicago White Sox and concessions and retail partner Delaware North Companies Sportservice have introduced the one pound, two-foot-long “Giant Slugger” hot dog at U.S. Cellular Field.

Created to serve as many as four people, the Giant Slugger is composed of Vienna Beef and topped with nacho cheese, chili, grilled onions, and jalapenos – served in a 22-inch potato bun.  White Sox fans can look for the Giant Slugger at portable hot dog stands near sections 109 and 538.

The massive hot dog was created in Texas by Sportservice executive chef Cristobal Vasquez for Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, where it is known as “The Boomstick.”  Since its introduction to Rangers fans, it has garnered international attention and continues to be a fan favorite at the ballpark.

They should've called it "The Big Hurt."

Cripes, the Sox couldn't be troubled to include a pic? But now looking at one, I can see why maybe they didn't:

I don't see the chili in this one.

Jeesh, just what I would want, a pic of myself trying to get my mouth around a 2 foot long hot dog.

Yeah, there shouldn't be any pics taken of anything like that.  That sort of thing should be done only in the privacy of one's own home.

Heh, I think they are playing one of the street fests this weekend.  Or is it Fastball?   (Aren't they the same band?)

I. . . .don't.  .  .know. . .

I need to look that up. I think Fastball played the Zoo a few years back.

EDIT: Oh shiit, youtube their song "The Way". . .good lord, forgot all about that one. It's also funny to see what other suggested videos show up on the left, yep, you guessed it, Smash Mouth and Chumbawamba are among them. Too funny.

Friend of mine would play The Way over and over, along with Closing Time by Semisonic. Man, did I hate those 2 songs.

Came across this online recently:

If you play a Nickelback recording backwards, you can hear the devil speaking.  Even worse, if you play a Nickelback recording forwards, you can hear Nickelback.
