Buehrle isnt likely back with a raise in order.

I fully expect Buerhle to be re-signed.

I also expect Danks to be traded, and Sale to replace him in the rotation.

Buerhle/Floyd/Sale/Peavy/Humber is likely to be the rotation in April 2012.

My one source said Burly is gone to STL, Floyd will be traded.

Pierre will not be re-signed. De Aza and Lillibridge make him expendable.

I don't think AJ will be back either.

CF   De Aza
SS   Ramirez
1B   Konerko
RF   Quentin
DH   Dunn
RF   Viciedo
C     Flowers
3B   Morel
2B   Beckham

Bench

Rios, Lillibridge, Castro, Kuhn

That is an awfully young lineup with potential to be very productive.

BTW, that's a damn good deal getting two pretty highly rated players for Ozzie.  I mean, he was gone anyway

Only way White Sox let Buerhle leave is if St. Louis offers him crazy contract. So, it's possible, but I don't think Buerhle is gone.

Floyd being traded, IMO, is more possible. He's been inconsistent, you can get that out of Axelrod, Stewart or even Petricka.

The question is what value can we get for Floyd? I'm not sure anyone is going to give up much for him.

"Gavin Floyd" is English for "Javier Vazquez," isn't it?  Roughly?

Zach Stewart isn't a starter.   At least not a good one.  Hopefully he's not in the Sox' rotation next year.

Burly is a FA, no?  Sure sounds like he'd like to make a change.

I actually like Stewart but can't ignore the numbers.   He'll get a long look in ST

I don't want him back at all unless he gets a haircut.

I thought that look died along with Steve Lyons' career...

Floyd or Danks is going to be traded, likely Danks because of impending FA, whereas Floyd has a longer and potentially cheaper contract. With Buehrle likely gone and either Danks or Floyd gone too The starting pitching is shaky at best. Humber stinks. I hope they part ways with him. Quentin is such a head case he needs to go too. The outfield is very weak defensively with Viciedo, DeAza and Quentin. Kuhn is a hitting machine. Supposedly his best defensive position is 2B.

God aweful managing Rios?

As I recall KW brought up de Aza to send Rios a message; in his first start de Aza wins the game witha HR.  His reward?  Ozie starts Rios the next game.

So in other words, yes....god awful managing.

What people seem to be forgetting is that OZZIE QUIT. He was under contract for one more year and would have been here managing next season. But, even after admitting his failures for the season, he demanded a pay raise. He didn't get it so he walked on his team.

I agree he walked out on this team, but I am betting that the reason he walked had much to do with KW.

Making it even more bush league. He can't be a damn professional and do his job because he no likey his boss? Hell, it's not like he took orders from KW anyway?

He bolted for more money. He said himself he didn't care about the rings.

What loveland said.

KW brought up De Aza to send a message... but he didnt cut Rios... what was ozzie going to do? just sit his two most expensive players indefinitely and run a team with 23 players?

I'm not all that sure that Ozzie "quit" in the traditional sense.   It was clearly a case of "him or me" and JR chose Kenny.   Then Ozzie quit.   But JR certainly helped him do so.

George Carlin's "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television": "shit", "piss", "fuck", "cunt", "cocksucker", "motherfucker", and "tits".
