Should have sent robin down after 33 at-bats... he was worthless.

Not sure why folks want to move Alexei. Solid plus SS. Gets a nice amount of RBIs from end of the order. He is what he is, not likely going to get  better, at one time I thought he would put on 20 pounds of muscle and hit for more power, but he is just a skeletor.

I wouldn't say I want to move Alexei. However, both Sanchez and Beckham have played SS.
If we could get a A prospect like Olt for 3B in exchange for Alexei, one that could reasonably be expected to replace the run production, while cutting salary,
I am up for it. To me, Sanchez/Olt > Ramirez/Morel or Sanchez. If Floyd were traded as well, we might be able to use the savings to get involved in the Greinke bidding.

#Rangers talks w/ Josh Hamilton said "on hold" while they pursue Greinke, Shields, Upton

Sigh, it would be nice to the White Sox associated with stuff like this.

C'mon Hahn, you're boring me so far.

Here's some excitement for you SR:

Tuesday, 11:55pm: Third baseman Jack Hannahan has interest from teams for a Major League contract, tweets Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports, with the White Sox and Marlins among the suitors.  We heard earlier today that Hannahan has a big league offer in hand from an AL Central team, and the Twins met with his agent yesterday.

Hannahan, 32, is known for his defense at the hot corner.  Faced with a projected $1.5MM salary through arbitration, the Indians chose to non-tender him last week.

Ooooohhh.....another big fish:

Earlier today, we heard from Joel Sherman of the New York Post that there are six teams, including the Yankees, in the mix for Jeff Keppinger. According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports (via Twitter), another one of those six clubs is the White Sox, who are eyeing Keppinger as a possible third base option.

Based on reports from yesterday and this morning, the cost to land Keppinger might be in the range of $13MM for three years. If the 32-year-old is willing to accept a two-year deal, something in the neighborhood of $10MM could get it done.

I'd love Keppinger in this lineup. Solid, unspectacular, and is pretty consistent.

Yes, Jheter. Consistent.

I too would like to get Keppinger. I would take Hannahan as well. That way we keep Floyd, I think we have to until we know for sure if Danks is ok. I highly doubt Danks will be back to norm until mid-season if not 2014. We cannot count on both Quintana and Santiago without having another vet like Floyd. Now if we sign McCarthy, as some rumors have us doing, then I would not mind moving Pink.

I like Olt's numbers in the minors, but I am not ready to go with a rookie at 3B. I want a solid defender to help this staff of LH's.

Believe Keppinger just broke his foot/leg. So might not be ready for start of season.

Yeah, who needs to look at Hamilton, Greinke, Shields and Upton when there's a Hannahan and Keppinger available!   ;D

The White Sox just signed Keppinger, or so I heard on the radio.

I had to wiki this sob, had never even heard of him. Utility player, and I didn't see the many teams he's already been with clamoring to retain him.

Coolest factoid about him is that he broke his toe from a foul ball. . .while he was in the dugout.

Keppinger must be super awesome:

12:56pm: The White Sox still have interest in Hannahan despite signing Keppinger, tweets MLB.com's Scott Merkin.

He does not K much, he has been a decent hitter despite lack of power. I think he will be better on D than Youk was. I think his D might make up for his lack of run production. He could be a good #2 hitter.

Hes a good signing. Not spectacular. But had a great year with the Rays... Fans here really wanted him back.

Hannahan makes sense as a platoon partner, and if they were looking at that,
there was no reason to sign Keppinger unless they are convinced Morel can't make it at MLB level, even in a platoon role.

I might be disappointed in Morel's performance last year, but unless I'm underestimating the severity of his injury,
I'm nowhere near ready to write him off. The swing is there and he is good defensively.

If he can hit like he did last year, heck yeah.

So 1Bmen's bats are judged by the first 33 games?
