our luck needs to change.  not only have we mostly caught hot teams, TB is playing amazing D.  Rios smoked one with bags  loaded but Fuld got great jump

Did KW say we were all in, or did he say we're fallin'?

You know, with our starters and offense I thought losing streaks this year would be kept to a minimum. This is just some cruel ass joke the baseball gods are playing with us.

At least the Twins can blame Morneau, Mauer, Young, the Japanese 2Bman, etc... are all out for one reason or another. Other than Peavy we are healthy.

HAH! this must be the first great joke for the new board... Rays good defense has nothing to do with luck... Rios not dropping another sure fly out today was luck. It was literally about to pop out of is glove and he somehow managed to re-catch it... How much are we on the hook for that POS again?

Fuld has made a solid 5-6 amazing plays this year... hes good at playing that whole baseball thing.

What our luck needs is a new GM...

If our outfield defense was that good we'd be in 1st place. Oh and Quentin is a fine DH playing RF :o :o :o

KW is not the problem here. Did he make a few bad moves, sure, but this team is still good enough to be playing much much better than it is.

I'm not a huge KW fan, and he has made a few bad moves (see: Teahen, Rios), but he does get out there and take some risks.  I don't even think Ozzie is the problem.  All managers are going to do things that fans question.   No, I put this losing streak on the players.  There have been a lot of bonehead errors, but there are also players not playing up to their ability.  And unfortunately, there are some Sox players with clearly diminished abilities.

Ha, how can you blame KW? Save reference to a question mark here and there, I didn't hear anyone complaining too loudly about the roster going into the season.

Anyway, we need to start a list of "Losing Cliches". I'll get the ball rolling with:

"He's hitting the ball a lot better than his .167 average would indicate."

Shoeless, you can just post what you normally do, and those will be added.

I disagree with that Fury... hes the one that went out and got these players... he keeps trying to fit peeps in the wrong spots... Rios is not a CF but hes the only one on the roster... we dont even have a bleeping defensive replacement worth a damn... thats on the GM.

I blame the team, Ozzie, Kenny.  Guys are underperforming.  Ozzie still wants to play small ball.  KW spent it all on Dunn and not a closer.   Oh well.

but Rios dropping balls in CF has nothing to do with him maybe being a better RFer.  Also, Pierre blows.  I mean, he really sux.

It has everything to do with him  being a better RFer... hes doesn't get great jumps on the ball in CF, he takes crap routes... he plays better in a corner.

Some of his deficiencies are masked at RF... they are glaringly obvious in CF... that's not Rios's fault... that's KW's fault for fitting a RFer in CF.

Pierre is god awful as well... but Ozzie loves him... Pierre and Rios next to each other in the OF is a disaster they need a real CFer separating.

that goes without saying... "4-3" is what he is... and sadly hes a white sox.

I dont wish him any ill will... but i hope he catches a managable condition that puts an end to his playing career... would love to have him around as a hard working coach!

That's what I mean by "diminished abilities."

Yeah, but other than those things he's a pretty good ball player.
