10 hits & five walks and we only score 2 freaking runs?

Can we trade Trayce again?

He is just awful.   I don't see how Tilson can be any worse, so why not play him?

I’d like to know why Thompson was in the game in the first place

Despite having one of the worst records in the league, we are only ~8-9 games out of first.

In 1983, around this time of the season, we were about ~6 games out of first.

Just saying'    ::)

Great start by Covey, as I pointed out earlier in the minors thread, he had been the biggest surprise of the young season down on the farm.

I'd still like to try & get Gomez & Cedeno up from Charlotte & into our pen.

Engel had the best game of his career. 4 fer 4 pushes his BA over .200.

After Anderson's 2 HR game I feel free to say this:

Anderson has greatly disappointed me. This is his 3rd yr in the bigs & I thought by now he'd be a steady offensive force with a BA in the 280s with nice power. I'd accept the lack of walks because of the high BA and slugging.

But his offense hasn't been there on a regular basis  & his defense is still bad - way too many errors. He's got to improve.

Palka's bat has been impressive, but he really is a bad fielder. Surprisingly bad.

Moncada seems to be making mental mistakes in the field.

We are really bad, hope we end up better than the 1970 Sox.

Maybe I am getting sappy in my dotage, but that Farquhar Throws Out the First Pitch ceremony was quite touching.   Cool move by the Sox.

Fun.  What little I saw. Especially since I listened to Mark Belling  yap about how the Brewers had such an easy weekend and how many tickets were available to watch the game.  Hurrrrmph

Btw, I just saw laugf.  Stupid stupid phone.  FIS took away my Galaxy and gave me this horrid iPhone.  I’m sticking to that story

I still use a flip phone, too many years of leading edge technology when I worked, trying to go prehistoric now.
