See, there your tag line works.  Normally it is a disconcerting disconnect.

Sitting here in my office, on a phone conference with about 15 people. I am looking out my window and see a bunch of cop cars on the bridge that goes over the highway that runs along the site here. Course that catches my eye, any time I see a cop car I just get very suspicious.

Eventually a fire truck shows up, then 2 ambulances. Then I see a guy dangling from the bridge, there is a pretty tall fence on the sides of the bridge. So not sure if a person hung themself and were dangling there, or if a guy was going to jump and chickened out but was about ready to fall??? Then a cherry picker shows up on the frontage road and I think they got him down.

Wow, probably was told his job was going away, LOL

Two citizens and an off-duty police officer helped hold a man who appeared ready to jump off the 37th Street Northwest bridge over West Frontage Road on Thursday afternoon.

The man had climbed over the decorative green railing on the bridge, which leads into the entrance of IBM Rochester. The three people held onto him until Rochester police and firefighters arrived, said Rochester Police Sgt. Gretchen O'Neil.

Traffic was stopped on the frontage road for a half hour, starting at about 2:15 p.m., as the man was lowered into the bucket on a Rochester Fire Department ladder truck.

The man didn't resist the rescue effort, O'Neil said. He was taken to Saint Marys Hospital for an evaluation, she said.

Just got back from a vacation to Belize and Roatan.

Absolutely beautiful areas... dirt poor areas, but great people... didn't have electricity for the 3 days we were in roatan... the locals are rebelling and tearing down power lines to protest increases in electricity prices...

Glad i missed the fail that has been the Sox over the last week.

Where in Belize? We love it.

We stayed in a fairly spartan place on Guanaja Island vs. staying in Roatan when in Honduras. It was a mistake, but still lots of fun.

What made you go to those two places? We do Mayan-related trips, which is how we ended up in both.

We had taken a 7 day cruise a few years ago... Cozumel/Cayman/Belize/Roatan. but those dont allow you more then 7-9 hours per port

We loved Roatan so much we wanted to make it our next vacation. We ended up going to Belize City and Ladyville for a couple days and then spent 5 days in Roatan.

If you do go to Roatan next time... you MUST stay at the Westbay lodge... great couple runs the place.... they rescue parrots and cats... it was quite the experience.

Andy posted "part" of the story on the BBF Bleachers, but I would imagine there is a whole lot more.

The story is so incredible my wife doesn't believe it.

Just a note to everyone on the boards... secure passwords now need to be atleast 12-18 characters... numbers/symbols and letters included.

Just saw it -- wow, that would be cool.   Gotta hear some stories, Andy!
