I thought last year he was OK, but his terrible start, defense, lack of power and SB #s move him to below average this year

I'm sorry i dont know where decent LF play came into this...

Just last nite the tigers announcers were laughing about how hes the only LF in Baseball where a soft hit down the line is a double and not a single... thats not decent play thats bottom of the barrel play.

He shows no power.  while he has stolen 90 bases... his success rate this year is.. 24 out of 39 or 61%.

He had one hell of a year from the SB perspective last year... thats about the only positive hes brought to this team... well that and giving it 110% every time.

KW also traded for the amazing Juan Pierre.

At Ozzie's urging, lest we forget!

Ozzie was also the one who didn't want Thome back, opting instead to give those at-bats to Kotsay last year. Worked out great, huh? This team has been so poor fundamentally for several years now and has not come out of the gate ready to play. That, once again, is an indictment on the coaching staff and it starts with Ozzie. It should now end with him.

Pierre is the least of this teams problems. To be blaming him is being unrealistic and most likely hateful.

Cowley:

So by next month, Guillen could indeed be shaking hands with Loria as the Marlins’ new manager.

What does that leave the Sox shaking hands with?

Irrelevancy

Because the Sox have been so relevant the past 8 years with Ozzie?  Nice try, Cowley.

Between Ozzie's big mouth and his son's twitter, the only press he brought to the team was negative and embarrassing.

Who replaces Ozzie?

I hope it's not a guy who talks about "playing the game the right way" unless he's willing to bench guys who don't.

Another year with no Sox visit to Atlanta.  That'll make it an even decade since they played here.  So much for rotating the teams in interleague play.  Complete bullsh1t.

Too much travel involved.    But then again, there is free beer in the clubhouse after games....

In case it matters to anyone, we blew a 3-run lead in the 9th.

For what?  So we have a larger pool of more talented players to pass up in favor of "signable" picks?

Don Baylor. Ask Cubbie fans about him. Could be funny.

Speaking of which, why didn't JBN come over here?

I thought he did, once.

George Carlin's "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television": "shit", "piss", "fuck", "cunt", "cocksucker", "motherfucker", and "tits".
