When I hear shoulder it is typically Labrum, or in the old days they had more rotator cuff injuries. Lately labrum is the uh oh surgery.

I agree with Bill Sharp, especially due to the 6-8 month recovery. Does not sound like they are being truthful.

surprised by the decision on Goldburg & Brantley. Only 2 catchers on the 40 now.

I kind of liked Brantley's bat, maybe his D is not so good? They kept Goldberg, but no longer on 40man. The others are MLFA

Goldberg is in the same situation as Hunnie's son, Johnny.  Not enough time since he turned pro to become a minor league free agent but will be available to be picked by another organ-I-zation in this December's Rule 5 Draft.  If no team selects Goldberg, he remains White Sox property. Same holds true for Johnny with Tampa.

I see Petricka had nerve transposition surgery on right elbow. Maybe Goldburg should be put back on the 40.

White Sox: Chicago has agreed to terms on a one-year, $1.05 million contract with right-hander Danny Farquhar, avoiding arbitration. The White Sox have eight other arbitration-eligible players: Jose Abreu, Avisail Garcia, Yolmer Sanchez, Carlos Rodon and Leury Garcia all figure to be tendered contracts, while relievers Zach Putnam, Al Alburquerque and Jake Petricka are potential non-tender candidates.

If they planned to non-tender these guys, why didn't they remove them from the 40-man roster two weeks ago so they could have protected 1-4 more prospects from the upcominf December 15th Rule-5 draft?

White Sox decline to tender contracts to 4 players for 2018

Who's the third guy?   At first I thought Shoeless Joe, but he never hit 15 HRs in a season.   Does anyone know, without going through baseballreference.com?

Carl Reynolds - White Sox outfielder who in 1930 hit .359 with 18 triples and 22 HRs.
