If Humber does okay as a 5th starter, can we just make Peavy our closer for the year?

Do a Smoltzy thing with him?

It would just be nice to have Humber be available for the pen. Why the hell did we even send Milledge down for a pitcher, we have not even used him yet. Sometimes I wonder about this club.

What's Matt Thornton's problem?

<Bill Melton>

He's Matt Thornton!

Our pen has done so well, we haven't need him

"If we play like we did today, we are going to win a lot of games," said White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen, who was noticeably more upbeat in comparison to his last postgame press conference Wednesday. "We battled pretty good today. I like the way they show up."

<Monotone Moran voice on>Yaaaayyy<off>

This sounds more like something you might hear out of a team that would be thrilled to finish the season over .500. I know it's just a quote and what he's saying this early in the year, but, 14 errors into this season. . . .yaaaayyyy.

I agree.  They're mighty mediocre right now.

Doesn't sound like Phil Humber has to worry about losing his place in the rotation for quite awhile:  :(

Peavy leaves rehab start with discomfort
Right-hander throws just 15 pitches before exiting

I can't fault Kenny for the Peavy trade because no one knew he'd be this injury prone, but damn, San Diego won that trade in landslide!

I'd say the jury is still out on the Peavy deal. Richard is going to end up a very average pitcher it appears.   I do think we'll regret the Hudson trade and the Swisher debacle will haunt KW for a long time

I think the jury is still out too. However I am not sold Peavey will ever regain his Cy Young form he had with the Padres.

Whats with Danks's weight gain? He appears to have gained about 20-30 lbs. His face is noticibly fuller too
