Again - when can we fire Greg Walker?
The offense is f'ing talented. VERY talented.
Konerko is the only one hitting worth a damn right now. Quentin started hot, but he's cooling off.
In the no-hitter, those two were the only two guys in the starting lineup hitting above .250.
Every year, we have this conversation with the underachieving offense. Yes, you can point to the success of Konerko, and yes, you can point to the success of Quentin early on, but I can point to the failures of Rios, Beckham, Pierre, AJ, Morel, Dunn, .... and that's just this year.
I think that Dunn will eventually come around, but it will probably be too late to save this season. Obviously, he was rushed back way too fast from his appendectomy.
I heard an interesting suggestion on the Score today. Holmes was filling in for Speigs today and he was talking about the Peavey and Rios deals and said maybe it was time to get rid of KW and replace him with Hahn. I cant say I'd be against that idea
