When will we resign Yolmer?  Still need someone to play 2nd until Mr. Madrigal is ready.

The Carlos/Yolmer Sanchez era is over.

Unless he's willing to sign a minor league deal for less than a million dollars, they won't consider re-signing Yolmer.  Danny Mendick +/or Leury Garcia will man second until Madrigal gets promoted to the majors.  Only thing that could change their thinking is an injury to Madrigal.

Plus there are no open spots on the current 40-man roster.  A move will have to be made when they officially sign Cisek and another when they add Madrigal. Jimmy Lambert and Carlos Rodon should start the season on the 60-day DL but that move can't be made until the end of spring training.

any word on minor league free agent signings

No.  BTW, Hunnie's son Johnny is a free agent.

The Sox signed Andrew Romine to a minor league deal today, whoever that guy is.

Just a few of the players that were on the White Sox last year that are no longer on the team: Yolmer Sanchez, Ryan Cordell, Yonder Alonso, Welington Castillo, Jon Jay, Charlie Tilson, Jose Rondon, AJ Reed, Dylan Covey, Ervin Santana, Odrisamer Despaigne

Dylan Covey is the only one on your list that's still with the organization.  He's not on the 40-man roster but is still technically part of the organization.  He's been DFA'd but until he's traded, released or granted free agent status, his rights are 'owned' by the White Sox.

Yeah, I'd say that's pretty good.   And no crippling contracts, either.

Although I must admit I cannot bring myself to count on Madrigal and/or Vaughn; odds are that some of the kids will be busts.  But that's a worry for another day.

Do not think Madrigal will bust. He improved as he went up each of two levels last year. Vaughn may, just something about him. Probably will be fine.

Assuming Leury G. starts at 2nd the starting lineup is set. Bench has McCann, Mendick, Engel & a final 26th player for the new expanded rosters. Everone expects Zack Collins to be the final bench spot as having a 3rd catcher who can play 1st and DH seems ideal.

I think it would be stupid to carry Collins at the end of the bench all year. He needs to play. His defense still is questionable & after finally having a decent year with the bat not playing will retard his progress. Also he did look hopeless with the bat in the majors last year.

Sox 40 is full (the Sox idiotic decision to put Adolpho & the great Basabe on the 40 at an extremely young age and after have bad years in A ball still rankles) and no minor league FA catches the eye, so unless they sign someone before the season starts it'll have to be someone on the current 40. My pick would be Yermin Mercedes. He's a catcher who can hit with a lifetime minor league BA over .300. He has a ton of experience - turns 27 this month I think.

All the "bring Madrigal up now talk I find silly. Leury G. hit .279 last yr, his 3rd year in a row hitting in the .270s for the Sox. He's good & doesn't need to be replaced. Mendick really looked good after his call up. Madrigal's not on the 40, I see no reason why he shouldn't start in the minors. He can always be called up if needed.

the big ? is how will the pitching perform.

Rotation set - Lucas G, Dallas K, Reynaldo L, Gio G & Dylan C.

Kopech will, of course, start in the minors, he has a long road back, no need to rush him a second time. Rodon probably won't start pitching until after mid season. Earliest I could see him back would be the end of the year.

Bigger questions withe the pen. Will Marshall & Cordero be able to repeat their surprise performances of last year? Will Fry be able to bounce back after a bad year? Will Herrera bounce back after a horrific season? Will Cishek's arm fall off after over use with the chubbies?

Colome, Cishek, Bummer, Marshall, Herrera, Cordero, Fry & simply because he's out of options Fulmer.

BTW, I hate the new rule changes concerning relief pitchers.

Kopech has been cleared for ST, he will start in the minors so the Sox can get a year of control back. but he'll be up in may,

I doubt 4 ip gio sticks around long.

The White Sox and infielder Yoan Moncada have agreed to a five-year contract extension.  The deal contains a club option for a sixth season that would keep Moncada in Chicago through the 2025 season.  Moncada will earn $70MM in guaranteed money.
