quick search says Mn's right, minor leaguers only put on 7 day DL.

Guess Leury can switch to short & Cordell/Tilson in CF every day with Jay in right.

With Moncada hurt & Yolmer sick the situation is close to critical, the guys on the radio during today's game were talking about Abreu playing 3rd.

Sox management are real dumb bells, they seem incapable of rational thinking

One would think so. Who cares if it pisses off Manny Machado, was a stupid move in the first place.

Buried in the Sox notes in today's Tribune:

In other injury news, Sox pitcher Ryan Burr and Double-A Birmingham pitcher Jimmy Lambert underwent Tommy John elbow surgery last week. Triple-A Charlotte pitcher Ian Hamilton was hit by a liner while in the dugout and suffered multiple facial fractures. He’ll miss the rest of the season.

Grumble grumble rush up prospects grumble grumble.

Let's see how he does. Might be just a spot start. Hope he runs w it.

Not a spot start. They intend for him to be part of the rotation moving forward. Suspect they'll have an innings limit for him.

Of course, he'll probably need Tommy John after a month anyway, so at least we'll get to enjoy watching him for a few games...

You can have it more than once. Jace Fry can tell you that.

the Reed call up is more evidence of the stupidity of Sox management.

It's amazing how actual performance in the minors means little to nothing to the Sox brass.

Zack Collins struck out in 54% of his at bats. LOL! Nice burn of an option.

I think Collins already used his option for the year when he was sent down to AAA during Spring Training, so bringing him up didn't affect anything.   I think that's how it works.

Eloy needs some serious defensive coaching.   Cripes, bring in a specialist to coach him if no one on the staff can do it.
