Poll: Who should manage the White Sox in 2016?
« on: August 18, 2015, 01:13:32 pm »

It's been almost four years since our last poll so we're well overdue for another one.

Make your choice for who you like to see as the White Sox skipper for 2016.

If YOUR choice isn't one of the five names listed in the poll, please supply his/her name in a post on this thread.

You can only vote once and this poll will be open until the end of the season.

Ryne Sandberg.

It would be funny, at least.

Mike Aldrete.

Was the bench coach for the cardinals for many years, them moved to the A's. I want someone that has worked with a organization that is a bit more focused on advanced stats.

We are way behind in that arena and having a manager with that sort of background would help us.

I modified the poll so you can alter your vote if you change your mind, make a mistake or hang a chad.

To do so, hit the 'remove vote' button and then vote again.  You're still limited to only one vote per member so you must hit the 'remove vote' button before re-voting.

MLBN reporting this morning that Ausmus is out in Detroit at the end of the season, and Gardenhire is the heavy favorite to replace him.

It could happen as I expect Ausmus to be fired and Gardy to manage SOMEWHERE next season..............

but considering the original source of this rumor is a Detroit sports blog written by a 28-year old student who is attending law school in Chicago claiming he has an inside source in the Tigers organ-I-zation makes me think it's pure speculation.  This blogger claims it's a done deal.  More than likely this is his hope and he's trying to increase traffic & interest in his blog.

FWIW, Gardy is an old school guy and I seriously think he would not get into negotiations, let alone agree to a deal, before the Tigers, or any other team, fires their present manager.  Interviewing for a manager job while it is filled is frowned upon his managerial peers.
