Home runs by Jermaine Dye and Joe Crede help give Jose Contreras the win and Bobby Jenks picked up the save. Houston starter Roger Clemens recorded his shortest World Series start, leaving after the second inning with 53 pitches including 35 for strikes, due to a sore hamstring that he had previously injured.
