On this day in Sox history . . . ..

May 27, 2007:  after reaching their high-water mark of 4 games above .500 (24-20), the Sox suffer an 11-5 loss to Tampa Bay, beginning a 5-game losing streak that will take them below .500.  They will not be above .500 again for the rest of the season.   Highlight of the Sox loss? Power arms Thornton, MacDougal, Sisco give up 6 runs in 2 innings of work.
