But what a game it's turned out to b. Reminds me of 1986 Series

Reminds me of the 1991 World Series where Kirby Puckett won Game 6 with a lead-off walk-off HR in the bottom of the 11th inning.

Joe Buck even used his father Jack's call of "And we'll see you tomorrow night!" when Freese hit the homer in the 11th.  Jack used the same words when Kirby hit the game-winning HR in the Metrodome in Game 6.

I turned the game off when the Rangers were up 7-4 and thought that was enough for them to win. Never imagined waking up to find the Cards kept fighting back and won it in extras. If the Cards win tonight the Rangers have no one to blame but themselves. Up until the time I turned the game off it seemed the Cards were doing everything they could to hand the game to the Rangers. It seems the pitching in general has been really bad throughout this postseason.

Hope Game 7 is just as exciting tonight.

I like the guy who dons the Scrabble box hat when Rzepczynski comes in. But that's just me.

I hate the wild card, but I have to admit it would enjoyable to see the Cub's fans petty reactions if the Cards win again.  Besides, I don't think the Rangers can close the deal after last night.

Congrats to the Cardinals. They don't have high payrolls like the Yankees and Red Sox or even the Cubs in their own division yet they continually succeed. 11 world titles now and the 2nd in the last 5 years alone. What I wouldn't give for the White Sox to have even half of that success.

Although I'll always treasure the fact that we got to see our team win a World Series, it still to this day bugs me that we didn't win it at home and get to see our crowd go nuts. We had to win it at an indoor, boring stadium.

Petty indeed. Facebook posts all over: "Stupid Cardinals, Cub fans deserve a world series more", "let them enjoy their last one for awhile, now that we have Theo we're going to be the NL C powerhouse", "they cheated because they called a rainout the other day so that Carpenter could pitch game 7."

So, Do the Rangers not have a defensive replacement for Cruz in RF, or is he just their version of Quentin?  Everything is always all about the bats.

Cost them the championship....

Did anyone catch the shots of Nolan Ryan's face on TV when it became increasingly evident that the Rangers weren't going to win Game 7?  Priceless.

I wasn't going to watch any of the series, but I did decide to catch that final game, and now I'm glad I did because I got to see Ryan's "I'm trying really hard not to show the agony of defeat" face.

Bite it, Nolan.  Tough crap.

Because we could use some more conflict in that region...

It's been that way in that area since time began!  Why not stir the pot?

I'm so torn - I don't want to see either of those teams advance.  Maybe a meteor will strike.

I don't have a hatred for the A's like some of you guys do (except for those hideous uniform colors) so I find myself kind of pulling for the low-payroll team with no star powere that no one expected to be there. However, should the Tigers advance it gives the AL Central a little more credibility. Would have made our division look even worse if the al c division winner went down meekly in 3 games.
