AJ the in-studio analyst... they're talking about the Chris Carpenter play from a few games ago where he and Allen Craig got mixed up.
Everyone else is sitting there saying, "Carpenter should have stepped this way to throw to first," or "Craig screwed the play up by coming in toward the ball initially."
AJ (the last to speak) just says, "guys - this is an easy play. The base runner is inside the line, all he has to do is hit the runner in the back with the ball. It's a dumb rule, but that's the rule. He'll be out every time."
Gotta love AJ.
