The Desert Dogs lost to the Rafters 4-3, dropping their record to 11-18.

For some reason, a .178 hitting Basabe was batting leadoff and went 0-4 with 3 K's, but did manage a walk.

Robert hit cleanup and went 1-4 with a K.  He did score a run.  His BA is .324.

Laz Rivera hit ninth and went 0-4 with 2 K's.  His BA is .215

Tanner Banks started the game and pitched 5 strong innings, giving up 1 earned run on six singles, two walks, and 1 K.  His overall ERA improved to 4.43.

Robert also had 2 stolen bases, 2nd then 3rd.

His BA has dropped 30 pts since I praised him.

Basabe & Rivera both 1 fer 4, Roberts 1 fer 5

Min's guy Dopico gave up 3 runs in 1 inning (6.57)
More like 60 points. He was at .384 after his 3-hit game. Now at .324

The Desert Dogs took down the Rafters 4-2 this afternoon.  Their record improves to 12-18.

Basabe hit leadoff and went 1-5 with a single and a K.  He did get a SB and scored a run.  His BA is now at .180.

Zach Thompson notched his third save of the AFL by pitching a scoreless ninth inning.  Although he did allow one walk, he allowed no hits and lowered his ERA to 2.70.

was looking at that Chicago Now site & read that my guy Kade McClure had surgery for a dislocated knee cap & ligament damage.

Bummer.

Brandon Brennan signed with Colorado, another relatively high draft pick who didn't pan out.

A different team took him in the Rule V draft, so Colo lost him

hey, DJ Peterson & Donn Roach are back in the Sox org & are non-rostered invitees.

Peterson was actually decent in AAA last year. Roach had smoking stats for half a year at Charlotte before the Sox let him go to Japan. Wonder how he did in Nippon ball.

Ugg, these AAAA pitchers can only make it by learning a new pitch.

BTW, anyone hear anything about AJ Puckett?

Parker Rigler retired, Nolan Brown cut. Liked both.

Min, is AJ Puckett still in the organization?

There are 5 outfielders listed on the AA roster who need to start, WTF?

Have not heard of Puckett getting released. Still probably hurt. Lots of guys not on rosters yet, not really showing who is on the DL (or whatever the hell they call it now).  I see 4 OFs on the Barons right now on the website. All 4 will start, Rutherford, Booker and Gonzalez. Adolfo will DH until his arm is healthier. Basabe will be on the DL for a while. Not sure where Fisher is, not sure I care.

Yeah, Adolfo will DH, but Basabe will not be on the DL for long, so you've got Rutherford, Booker, Gonzalez & Basabe fighting over 3 spots.

I bet Basabe goes up to the Knights when he is ready. Maybe not, but rather see him up there playing to keep letting these guys play.

I saw on the Baron website, under transactions, that AJ Puckett was put on the 60 day injured list, Dunning was put on the 7 day one (that is strange).

Mike Morrison was released, shoot, he had a nice season last year. Must not have thrown hard enough for our staff who seem to depend a bit much on how fast a guy throws the ball.

Morrison was the closer on Coastal Carolina, that Devan Watts was cut too & he did well last year.

Kubat still at high-A!

Who starts at AA - Roman or Michalczewski?
