Thanks Method!  I've been around, but mostly been lurking.  I haven't posted in awhile.

Glendale Desert Dogs record dropped to 0-2 after a 7-4 loss to the Peoria Javelinas this afternoon.

Luis Robert started at DH and went 1-5 with a strikeout.  He was the only Sox minor leaguer to see action today.

The Glendale Desert Dogs' record dropped to 0-3 yesterday.  They blew an 8-1 lead against the Surprise Saguaros and lost 10-9.

Basabe made his AFL debut and went 0-3, but did have a walk and a sacrifice RBI.

Luis Robert went 2-5 with 3 runs scored and an RBI.  He is hitting .286 through 3 games.

Laz Rivera went 0-4 with a walk.  He is also hitting .286 for the AFL season.

The Glendale Desert Dogs gave up 12 hits and 16 walks, but thankfully none of the White Sox prospects were involved in that meltdown.

AFL starts today. I know each MLB team is supposed to only contribute 6 players to a team, but the Glendale roster lists 7 Sox. The additional guy is Min's guy Danny Dopico.
Looks like I put kiss of death on Dopico.

The Glendale Desert Dogs dropped to 0-4 on the season, this time losing to the Surprise Saguaros 4-1.

Luis Robert appears to be seeing action every day.  Today, he went 1-3 with a run scored.

All the Sox pitching prospects saw action today.

Tanner Banks pitched the 4th and 5th innings without giving up a run.  He gave up 2 hits and a walk, but did notch 2 K’s.

Zack Burdi pitched a scoreless 6th inning, walking one batter and striking out one batter.

Danny Dopico started the 7th inning and recorded 2 outs, but not before giving up a run on two hits, a walk, and a hit batter.  He also threw a wild pitch.  His AFL ERA is 16.20.

Zach Thompson recorded the last out in the 7th inning and the first two outs in the 8th inning, but not before giving up a double and a wild pitch.  He was pulled from the game with his runner at 3B and the new reliever gave up a walk and a single, which scored Zach Thompson’s base runner.

You're welcome, Shoeless and MSF!

The Glendale Desert Dogs are marching towards futility perfection, dropping their game to the Mesa Solar Sox 8-0 this afternoon.  This drops the Desert Dogs record to 0-5.

Laz Rivera was the only White Sox prospect who saw action today.  He went 0-4, dropping his AFL BA to .182.

So strange. I saw that the Brewers, Yankees and Dodgers along with Baltimore were the 4 teams combining with us. Not only losing, but getting killed. Thought for sure we were going to be good.

The Desert Dogs lost to the Scottsdale Scorpions today 2-1, dropping their AFL record to 0-7.

Basabe led off and went 2-4, raising his AFL BA to .273.

Laz Rivera went 1-4 with 2 K’s, but did score the Desert Dogs only run.  His AFL BA is .200.

Burdi pitched a 1-2-3 seventh inning with two K’s.  His AFL ERA is still 0.00.

Dopico got the last 2 outs in the 9th inning.  In the 10th inning, the teams begin the inning with a runner starting at 2B.  Dopico pitched out of that jam, only giving up an intentional BB.  To start the 11th inning, Dopico is removed from the game, but he must have inherited the runner who starts on 2B to start the inning because the next reliever ended up walking three batters and Dopico ended up with the loss on an unearned run.  Crappy score keeping aside, Dopico pitched well, lowering his AFL ERA to 8.10.  Dopico also had 3 K’s.

The Desert Dogs record dropped to 0-8 this evening as they lost to the Salt River Rafters 2-1 in 10 innings.

Basabe went 0-3 with a walk, dropping his BA to .214.

Zach Thompson pitched a perfect 9th inning, picking up two K’s, lowering his ERA to 2.45.

The Desert Dogs won!  They beat the Rafters 1-0, improving their overall record to 1-8.

Laz Rivera went 1-3, improving his BA to .222.

Tanner Banks started the game and threw 4 shutout innings.  He gave up 3 hits and no walks.  He also had one K.  His overall ERA is still 0.00.

Zack Burdi pitched a perfect 1-2-3 ninth inning, giving up 3 FO’s.  His overall ERA also remains at 0.00.

After playing every game the first week, Luis Robert didn’t play at all the second week.  I haven’t seen any thing about him being injured.

So Eloy can't be that mad at the White Sox for holding him down if he didn't talk his brother out of signing with them!  ;D
