Madrigal 3 for 4 with a walk and double today at Kanny. No K's in 17 pro at bats so far.

Now another pitcher may have gone down. Lambert, in AA now and been doing so well, left the game after two scoreless innings last night. He is the one who increased fastball by 3-5 mph this year and has been really tough.

Control always been a bit of an issue with Hansen but coming off injury not surprised he is struggling right now

Saw that about Lambert - he was taking a step forward this yr - Sox have had the worst luck with injuries on the farm this yr.

BTW, heard anything on McClure?

Lost season for Hansen.

Good news is Lambert only likely out 2 weeks. Not a bad oblique injury.  Not sure on McClure, he was a knee correct? Maybe they are going to hold him out until Fall League. I agree with Hanson, he is sorta starting over. But he retired last 10 batters in order last night after a rough, wild start. I think he will be ok, but this is one reason I take Cease over him as my top pitching prospect. I also take Kopech over Hanson.

Madrigal still hasn't struck out yet, at least according to this:

https://www.mlb.com/whitesox/prospects/stats/draft-statistics/2018?dateRange=Year2018

Picks 27 & 28 putting up some nice numbers, albeit with high K rates.   The HS kid taken in the 33rd round off to a good start.

I think he is using the filters on the stats page to get a page like he is getting. I looked quick, not sure where he gets the prospects value from, but I bet it is there somewhere.

Great Falls lost but so did Missoula, so GF clinches a playoff by winning the first half of their division in the Pioneer League. So Winston-Salem won theirs, Great Falls wins and Kannapolis had it won before they choked their final week. Teams in the org (not counting White Sox and the DSL team) are like 30 games over .500. Been a long time since our system has won like this.

Stud ace, not a closer. Guys who cannot get a 3rd pitch become closers. Cease can command 4.

right now my vote for come back player of the year in the minors would be Alex Call.

second would be Tyler Danish.

I see on July 22, Charlotte released Mason Robbins.

Lots of players on Charlotte I'd release before Robbins.
