May 9, 2018 • 1 min read UPDATE May 9, 2018, 6:21pm

Hansen (forearm) will continue to gradually build his arm back up to speed after throwing a bullpen session earlier this week, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Hansen has been sidelined since early March due to forearm soreness but was able to resume a throwing program in April and appears to be nearing a return to game action. It's expected that Hansen will toss a few more bullpen sessions in the coming days, and may require a couple games in extended spring training before joining Double-A Birmingham.

Hear anything on Hansen or Puckett? That neither has played this year is troubling to say the least.
As Method said about Hanson, he is starting to throw. It was a strange thing in his forearm that occurred in high school as well. So he had gone through it once before and they think they have it all squared away.

Puckett had TJS on the elbow. He will miss this entire season.

In the Trib today they said Hansen is "making progress at extended spring training, pitching bullpen sessions".

Also, Robert is "close" to joining Winston-Salem.

Blackie, I know the Charlotte roster shows Smith as active, but I saw he played on 22nd and went on DL after that game, Austin came off the DL and has caught games since.

last year's 11th round pick Will Kincannon from Indiana State finally made an appearance this year. He finished another strong start by Blake Bottenfield.

the hitting at AAA & AA has been pretty bad overall this year.

Collins, Jiminez, Adolfo, Rutherford, Basabe, Sheets are all producing, although a few have been slumping (the 4 from Winston-Salem). There may be some surprises. Ti'Quan Forbes is really surprising me. Pretty high draft pick for Texas and he did not do much, but he seems to have figured it out, over .280 now, although not a lot of power. If his D is good he may be a good 3B candidate.

Collins 2-4 with a walk today, couple RBI. I love that he is making me eat crow, we have an abundance in the back woods here so keep hitting dude, I can keep eating.

If he keeps this up, and improves his defense, he'll be ready in 2020 - please dear god don't rush him.

the batting averages at Winston Salem have really dropped. Gavin Sheets is on the DL fur some unknown reason.

The manager at W/S seems to dislike Mitch Roman for some reason.

Collins should be ready for a mid season callup next year, assuming he keeps progressing

you're still talking about a career .240 hitter. He'd better progress.

Jordan Stephens won again at Charlotte. We may see him this year.

Bernardo Flores won again at Winston Salem. he's doing well this year.

Bernardo went 8 innings too, that is nice to see. He has been very solid.
