My burning question is does Eloy make the starting lineup in April of 18? I sure wouldn't be shocked. I think he is good enough but I wonder if the Sox want to push the rebuild that fast.

No way. If for nothing then due to service time games and to prevent him from being a super 2. end of may or june at the earliest.

I hope we keep purging the payroll this coming here. 2018's FA class is epic. Would love to add a Machado/Harper/Kershaw to the rebuild.

The Sox will have a ton of money to spend but they're not handing out mega million contracts to any of these players. They don't have the type of payroll to be able to sustain it long term or cover it up if ends up being a mistake. It'll be the usual teams that will hand out those crazy contracts that will end up being an albatross in a few years.

I think you are short sited. Thinking about it more... offer one of them 200 for 5 years.

For harper/Machado its worth it based on their age. For Kerhsaw its worth it to have the best baseball player on any planet in this universe.

I will be more than happy to be wrong. Letting ourselves dream for a moment, if the Sox were to splurge I would want it to be on Machado. Harper's a **** and although Kershaw is the best pitcher on the planet handing out mega contracts to pitchers is just too risky. They can break down at any moment and never be the same.

Not saying give Kershaw a 10 year deal. But 4 years I'd do.

Yup, he already has a bad back. Expect his future performance to decline unless he starts juicin'

Omar Vizquel will be mentoring Winston-Salem this year as the Dash's manager.

AFL - Zavala showed again that he can hit (.326), but didn't play a lot as Glendale had a top catching prospect in Will Smith.

Danny Mendick wound up at .290.

Zavala & Mendick both need to improve their defense, but I like both as prospects.

Pitching pretty much sucked, except for Fry (3.38). Matt Foster was a big disappointment.

I think he was saying more that Roberts is over-ranked in the charts.. wants to see him play more before he's made a top 25 prospect.

Guess that is fair

George Carlin's "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television": "shit", "piss", "fuck", "cunt", "cocksucker", "motherfucker", and "tits".
