Box shows they have a catcher playing 3rd & journeyman Torres (265 career BA) at short?

Makes one wonder why they cut Escobar, something isn't right.

If calling up kopech atthis point last year was a good idea. Then it's a great idea to call up Robert. We always rush our prospects... Now it appears we have one that is literally on 🔥 and no chatter to have him called up.

Another day, another home run for Luis Robert to go along with a single and a walk in a 2 for 4 performance. Madrigal and Moncada each with three hits in the Knights 9-3 win.

That lineup at Charlotte, when you also include Palka, Yermin Mercedez, Tilson and Mendick is just tearing up that league of late.

Avery Weems (6th round Arizona) looks like the only guy we drafted who can pitch.

Madrigal now has a higher BA & OBP than Robert at Charlotte.

What about Butler and Cronin, at Kanny and holding their own. Milto and Roper at Great Falls, Caleb Freeman now at GF.

Not a ton of success but far from being only 1 guy. Thompson and Dalquist getting a small taste, no sense pushing them.

Butler will be 24 in October, Roper will be 24 in Nov. Rooting for Cronin & Freeman, but neither has pitched much. I think Milto does have bullpen potential.

Most importantly, Weems is the only starter in the bunch.

rehabbing in Arizona with Dane Dunning:

Kopech, who will be a vital part of the White Sox rotation in 2020, also is there after Tommy John, along with fellow pitchers A.J. Puckett, Andre Davis, Jimmy Lambert and Ryan Burr, as well as infielder Jake Burger, the White Sox top pick in the 2017 Draft who is working his way back from a pair of left Achilles tears.

Anyone know anything about Jonathan Allen?  Late pick this year but just promoted to WS and had 2 bombs

He is ok. I figured he got the promotion because he is more of an org guy than a true prospect. But he appears to know what to do.

He has not done much and where he was drafted that is typically what they do with these types. If they went off stats he would not have been the one promoted. He was coming up to be the 4th OF, they like to leave their starters down to keep playing every day.

Following in the footsteps of the 1964 Philadelphia Phillies, the Charlotte Knights choked away a playoff spot by finishing 1-8 in their last nine games. Call-ups have not been announced yet but expect Zack Collins and maybe Charlie Tilson +/or Daniel Palka and a couple of pitchers that are already on the 40-man roster.  I don't expect them to promote anyone not already on the 40-man roster including Luis Robert unless he signs an Eloy-type team friendly contract in the next few days.

Zack Collins, Daniel Palka and Dylan Covey recalled from Charlotte. Danny Mendick added to the 40-man roster and promoted to the Whie Sox.

Johnahan Allen is the grandson of former MLB Don Landrum, That Osick guy we drafted is Keith Osick's boy.
