Over on Soxtalk, they posted a tweet claiming the following promotions after the all-star break.

Cease, Basabe, Call, Booker up to Birmingham

Eloy, Hamilton, and Seby up to Charlotte

There will be more than that. Thus far, only one transaction done, Barons released Nick Basto (Deserved to be released but no more than Keon Barnum, KWs pet.

3rd round pick Konnor Pilkington is pitching for Mississippi State University right now in the CWS on ESPN 2.   He gave up a run in the first.

Collins won Southern League HR derby, he also went 1-3 with a walk in the All Star game. Jiminez went 1-3, Mendick went 2-4, Zavala was 1-2 I think. Dunning pitched well, as did Hamilton. I did not know Ruiz made AS game, must have been a late addition as we only had 6 on the team originally. Ruiz got hammered in the 9th to let game get out of reach.

In Carolina league, Cease pitched well. Flores pitched a scoreless inning. Foster gave up a run. Booker hit a leadoff HR, drove in 4 runs and was the MVP of the game. Basabe did not get a hit if I recall correctly.

In Sally League, Battenfield gave up a run in his inning. Elliott went 1+ scoreless. Blackman hit a homer. Laz Rivera had a couple hits. Dedelow was 1-1.

Arkansas beat Texas Tech 7-4 at the CWS.  White Sox 14th-round pick Davis Martin was the losing pitcher. Texas Tech drops into the losers bracket where they'll play Florida Thursday night in an elimination game.

This is why I think Cease is better than Kopech or Hansen or any of our other pitching prospect, in fact Dunning might be my 2nd favorite after Cease

"Heading into the season, his first full year with us, the focus was: every fifth day, a full season's worth of innings," said Getz of Cease. "He's more or less forced our hand. He's really come on; he's pitching with four pitches, four-plus pitches. He's commanding the ball, very mature kid. And he's certainly ready for the next challenge at Double-A."

I will save SoxRule the trouble, "thanks Theo"

My favorite too is Dunning. I am hoping he is improving and moving up to the next level.

Possible bad news, Dane Dunning left last nights game in the 3rd inning, appeared to be an elbow. Fry has had two of them.

Thanks Andy, I was just about to post that same article. The prognosis seems to be better than surgery but if he doesnt improve it could result in surgery later I suppose :(
