I'd like to keep Don Cooper, though

Keep Baines too.

Picking and choosing is up to the new manager and GM not the fans.

And the blue does not appear to be royal blue, so there's that. It's almost like a celestial blue or han blue or even topaz.

That logo is horrendous. But it doesn't look red and blue at all to me. It looks more like orange, yellow, white and blue. It kind of reminds me of the Expos' logo. And yeah, they couldn't draw up a better looking fish than that??

Wow. Just so bad on so many levels.

It's putrid.  And I think their trying to incorporate the "fish" and the stadium design in one graphic.

Speaking of the stadium, it looks pretty damn sweet.  I've driven by it a handful of times on our jaunts over to the FL east coast.  Looking forward to taking the lil' Boats to a day game when we won't fry in the seats or get drenched by a tropical downpour...

From the artist's renderings, it looks like a colossal, high-tech commode.

You're thinking of Soldier Field.

Would love to see Boston choke away the Wild Card.  Odds are against them doing so, but one can hope.  That would bring some satisfaction to this otherwise underwhelming season.

Oh, and the Twins finishing last, that's another season highlight.

And another thing:  when is MLB going to fix up the @#$% playoff seeding?  As is stands, the team with the best record will wind up playing the #3 seed simply because the Wild Card team is in their division.

What a dumba$s rule.  Unless someone can enlighten me as to why it needs to be like this....

I hate the wild card and everything it brings.  It is inherently unfair to have an ubalanced schedule and then have a Wild Card.  Why should the seeding be fair?  At least it fits perfectly.

Another wrong turn for troubled ex-Tiger Denny McLain

Former Detroit Tigers star pitcher Denny McLain has made several wrong turns in his life.

His latest was missing the exit for a Cracker Barrel.

McLain wound up in jail Thursday after getting arrested in Port Huron, after he accidentally drove on the bridge to Canada while trying to get to a Cracker Barrel restaurant.

Well THAT was one of the more interesting nights of baseball I've ever seen. And I've been around for awhile.
Thank you to MLB Network for doing a nice job on all four games.
