Rios is our Fukudome, with an extra year + of contract.
But I think Rios can become a pretty good player again with a competent hitting coach. Look at this clip from 2008 when he hit .291... see anything different?

I don't see how a 6'5" guy can hit with his hands down so low while in a semi-crouch. IMO, he needs to mimic the approach another 6'5" guy takes...hands up high, no crouch, and slightly open:
